rally for the Burn
Come celebrate with us!
Our annual gathering brings together volunteers, supporters, and the larger Great Burn community to recognize the incredible work accomplished over the past year.
We will offer light bites to eat, drinks, and wonderful raffle items! We’ll also be drawing the winner of the Lochsa Lodge raffle- tickets are on sale now!
Great Burn Trivia Night
Join GBCA at the Montana Natural History Center to test your knowledge of all things Great Burn!
MNHC teaching naturalist Ryan Mahar is running the show with hosts from the Great Burn Conservation Alliance for a night of naturalist trivia! The event will run from 7-9 PM at the Montana Natural History Center.
Come with a team or join up with new friends when you arrive. MNHC staff will help you find a table.
The event is FREE but we ask that you register with MNHC so they have a head count. The event will be capped at 30 participants.
There are usually 4 rounds of questions each frequently on a common theme such as “Montana cats” or “poisonous plants.” Some rounds are verbal, others are visual, or auditory (guess that bird call!).
After each round the answers are divulged and a score for each team is displayed.
Two hours later there will be a winner!
BYOB and snacks.
Heart Lake Cleanup
Join GBCA and Women Who Explore on our fourth annual Heart Lake Cleanup! Heart Lake is a beautiful alpine lake, but so easy to access that it sees an increasing amount of use and sometimes abuse each year. Join us on this weekend outing to meet a bunch of awesome women explorers, eat some good food, and help us keep the backcountry clean! On this trip, we will clean up campsites at Heart Lake with the option for our hardy adventurers to explore Pearl and Dalton Lakes as well. Activities will also include mountain goat and pika surveys, and of course campfire stories.
